Egg and toothpaste experiment

This week, in Year 4, we have been learning about how toothpaste protects our teeth. We conducted an experiment, where we left one egg that had toothpaste on it and one without, in vinegar overnight. We looked at the affect that the toothpaste had on the egg shell. We discussed that because toothpaste has Fluoride in it, the egg shell was protected. Here is one of the groups experiments.

Can worms sense danger?

Last week, in year 4 we looked at whether worms can sense danger. We put the worms in the middle of the table. We observed them to see if they sensed the irritants to their skin. Once we had observed, we put the worms back safely into the natural habitat, outside.
