Reading

Pentecost Term

Read Theory

For Reading, your main activity is to complete the comprehension activities on Read Theory. You should also be reading as much as you can at home too, just as you normally would!

The children have their own logins for Read Theory, which is a series of quizzes and comprehension questions. Please feel free to email your child's teacher, if you can't seem to find the username and password. Any other questions about Read Theory, then please do ask.

Let's see who can get the most knowledge points!

Pentecost Term Week 3 (W.C. 04/05/20)

This week, there is a poetry focus based on Poems by Allan Ahlberg.

Don't forget our Performance Poetry Toolkit. Remember, you do not always need all of the tools. Only use the ones which you think will help your performance:

  • Expression
  • Body language
  • Actions
  • Background sounds or music
  • Pauses and rhythm
  • Volume (how loud or quietly you are speaking)

Read as much as you can during this time at home, we would love to know what you are reading and what you think about it so please share some book reviews with us by emailing us or on Seesaw there is a template which you can complete online or print off.

Whilst at home, Miss Madeley is currently reading The Chronicles of Narnia- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Miss Phillips is currently reading Varjak Paw.

Let us know what you're reading!
