Hand in hand...with God we learn

Our Learning

'Someone' came into our classroom and made a mess! We had to follow the clues to guess our new story, The Three Little Pigs. We came up with some fantastic adjectives to use in our new story next week after our drama lesson!!

We have all had a fantastic start to our new school year with our new topic 'What makes our school brilliant?'

This lovely lady, Hannah, introduced us to our new class charity Umbrella.

Hannah works for the local charity and explained to us that they support children and young adults with disabilities, and their families, throughout Derbyshire. She helped us find different ways we can help support them as a class throughout the year!

She also very kindly helped us understand what is a disability and how life could be living with a disability. This simple but very effective activity was fantastic as it was very challenging and supported us to reflect how some children living with disabilities can really feel!

We are looking forward to the rest of the year supporting Umbrella and helping make a difference to others.
