Eyes of the World animation | CAFOD

The eyes of the world are on us!

“Climate change is a problem which can no longer be
left to a future generation.” POPE FRANCIS

The world we live in is changing. The climate is in crisis and it affects us all. But it is the poorest
communities who are suffering the most.

Over the past year, we have seen how important it is to look after one
another. The coronavirus crisis has shown that change is possible and that
governments can make rapid decisions when they choose to do so. Now,
let’s come together to care for the world which is crying out for our help
and tackle the climate emergency with even more urgency.
The eyes of the world are on us this year, as Britain hosts world
leaders for the United Nation’s climate change talks – COP26.
It is vital that we raise our voices and ensure the Government
uses this historic moment to build a more sustainable world.

Walk for Water Lent film for children | CAFOD

Walk for Water Lent film for children. This Lent, we can Walk for Water to help people like Abdella. Abdella lives in a remote village in Afar, Ethiopia - one of the hottest, driest places in the world. To keep his family alive, he must walk for ten hours through the mountains to collect just two jerry cans of water.

Our school community looks forward to joining others for CAFOD’s Water of Life national assembly. We’ll travel to a place called Afar in Ethiopia, one of the hottest regions on earth, to meet people who make long journeys to collect water because it is so scarce.

Please follow the link at 9.30am (primary schools) on 28 January and we’ll find out how, even though we are all apart, we are still connected!
